"Vinny" is the first episode in a series of ten interviews preserving the haunting history of Gowanus, Brooklyn in the 50s-60s as told by lifelong locals. Inspired by my trip to the neighboorhood in 2015, the three childhood memories expressed in this video are brought to life through a mix of mediums including charcoal drawings, captured photography, digital painting, and animation. TedXGowanus founders, Sean Gammet and Matt Suter, have since recruited me for an addition episode as well as other design contributions to the project including a logo, event poster, and the official website.
